According to in the U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946, Frank J. Pepitone was born in 1910. The New Jersey native enlisted at Newark in the U.S. Army on Nov. 29, 1940.

According to historian Chip Pepitone, the soldier died on March 31, 1944, and is interred at the Rosehill section of Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.J.
