William Thomas Smith

Private First Class William Thomas Smith, 26, of 4 Harrison Street, Belleville, was killed in action on Oct. 23, 1918.

He joined the Army from New Jersey.

Pfc. Smith served with the 312th Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division. Smith served overseas from May 20, 1918 to his death.

He is survived by his father Christopher Smith of the same address.

Pfc. Smith is buried at Plot B, Row 20, Grave 37, at Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France.
